What makes Jindo special is you, the Host. Your style and your energy, combined with the Jindo Jam Deck is how you create an amazing night of music bingo. We put together this guide to help you bring your show to life.

This guide will cover the following stages of your Jindo show:

  1. PREGAME

  2. COUNTDOWN

  3. ACTIVE GAME

  4. WINNER & NEXT GAME

  5. POSTGAME

Each stage requires different information and actions from the Host to make sure the players are having a great time. Here’s the breakdown.

PREGAME

This includes talking with the venue staff, setting up for success and creating your Jindo Jam.

When you arrive at the venue, touch base with the staff to let them know you’re there to set up for the show. Ask them if anything needs to be announced, like food and drink specials. Who are the bartenders and servers? Give them a shout out during the show.

Scan the room as you are loading in your gear. Who’s there now? What playlist would they like to play? Use this info to Create a Jam and select your rounds. Make sure to use these best practices for setup.

Host Best Practices:

  1. Use a Computer with Google Chrome browser to Host

  2. Use private wifi or your own mobile hotspot

  3. DO NOT use Safari Browser

  4. DO NOT use iPhone/iPad

  5. DO NOT use Incognito or Invisible mode

After you enter and save your rounds in the Jam Deck, start handing out your QR Codes (Table Tents) or set up your banner for players to scan and enter your lobby.

As you welcome your players to join your lobby, talk about what to expect from a Jindo music bingo game. Explain that players need to scan the QR Code with their phones to open a web browser. Then, they enter their player name and click the pink button at the bottom to join the game lobby. As players begin to join, tell them to be patient as you get everyone ready to play. Game cards appear when you start the countdown. Here’s some talking points for best player experience.

PREGAME Host Talking Points:

  1. Strict security settings on your device may affect your game experience

  2. DO NOT use Incognito or Invisible mode

  3. Is everyone ready? We’ll give it a minute or two for all players to join

  4. DO NOT refresh the player screen after the countdown begins. Some cards may take longer to load than others

  5. A song or two may play before they appear in the “Songs Played” list, but it will catch up

  6. Once you and your players are ready to play, hit the Let’s Start Jamming’ button to launch the COUNTDOWN.

COUNTDOWN

Alright, it’s GAME ON! You’ve launched the Countdown and the music is building up the intensity in the room. This is where you announce the upcoming round details including the Playlist, Pattern, Pace and Prize. Build the energy and excitement during this time. Channel your inner Bruce Buffer and get the people HYPED to play Jindo with you!

Here’s a sample template to build from:

“Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining [Me/Business/Host name] at [Venue Name] for a fun-filled show. We’ve got [# of] Players about to play Jindo, the music bingo party game. It’s name-that-tune meets bingo. I play the music, you mark your cards. In Round [#] you are hearing [Playlist]. You are looking for a [Pattern] to win a [Prize]. When you get the [Pattern] click the Call Jindo button at the top of your player card to claim your [Prize]. Good luck!”

If you time it right, then the “Let’s Play Jindo” sample will come in clean before the music drops and you roll right into an ACTIVE GAME.

ACTIVE GAME

It’s going down for real. The music is center stage and players are tuned in looking for the songs on their cards.

Your role is to engage with your audience. Keep them informed and entertained. Think of yourself as a Radio DJ and let your commenting live in the gaps of the music.

Each song has a 1.5s fade in/out and this is a perfect spot to drop a Fun Fact or give a game update. Shout out players by name and let them know who’s close to winning. Promote the venue and the prize for the winner.
