ABOUT JOSH JOHNSON

Josh “JJ” Johnson has music flowing through his veins and energy bursting out the seams. A charismatic and clever performer, he leverages years of stage experience and creative expression to bring a unique and engaging show to the audience. Josh is the creator of Jindo and also hosts events through his DJ/Event company, Soulful Sounder.

Since his first public performance, in a piano recital in 1992, Josh knew that music and entertainment was something that called to him. His journey has taken him from bedroom producer to rapper to songwriter to member of the pioneering hip-hop group Hydrophonics - which opened shows for Atmosphere, Ludacris and more. His current group Modern Condition still creates and performs original music, and once opened for Mike Posner.

Sharp and unique, Josh’s ability to improvise, engage and entertain has been honed through the years. When he began to focus on DJing and event hosting in the early 2010’s he smoothed out the rough edges of his skillset and became a true professional. As Soulfulsounder, he has been a part of hundreds of weddings, business parties and community events. Bringing his trademark energy and passion to every audience he sees.

When the lockdowns and restrictions were implemented in response to Covid-19, Josh pivoted into the world of virtual entertainment learning the in’s-and-out’s of Zoom, OBS and Snap Camera to create a sweet new game show experience with Jindo. The response has been amazing, and now Jindo Josh looks forward to sharing his energy and creation with people everywhere. Let’s play Jindo!
